Physical Science SOLutions

Grades 4–5:      6 hours

Grades K–3:      6 hours

Six-hour hands-on program enhances the “Force, Motion and Energy” and “Matter” strands of the Virginia SOLs.

Life Science is Elementary

Grades K–5:      6 hours

For teachers of kindergarten through fifth grade, this six-hour workshop provides hands-on adventures for the “Life Processes” and the “Living Systems” strands of the Virginia SOLs.

For teachers of kindergarten through fifth grade, this six-hour workshop offers a hands-on approach to the “Scientific Investigation, Reasoning, and Logic” strand of the Virginia SOLs.

Earth in Space

Grades 4 & 6 – 6 hours

For teachers of grades four and six, this six-hour workshop covers the space and astronomy-related components of the “Earth Cycles, Patterns and Change” and the “Interrelations in the Earth-Space Systems” strands of the Virginia SOLs.

 From the Ground Up

Grades K–5:      6 hours

For teachers of kindergarten through fifth grade, this six-hour workshop provides hands-on focusing on the Virginia SOLs related to meteorology and geology.
